Alicia is someone I feel like is a “get back on the horse” type person. For any gosh-golly, that was a toughie situation, be it around relationships (romantic, platonic, family), work related, or general LIFE, she tackles the bad with a head-first, I can do anything, attitude.

I am so thankful for Alicia. She has given me so many gifts—professionally and personally. She honest to god made me feel good about who I am as a person in the workplace. My glorious friend Alicia! HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY!!!

There are too many things to say, so let me start by stating that you've been not only an inspiration, but a critical piece of my life and my development as a true-blue, career-having lady sort of person. I owe you so much! You believed in me when I was first starting out copywriting. You gave me projects when I was first learning graphic design. You've hooked me up with job interviews, and then straight-up jobs with Vow Muse. You introduced me to Lauren, who is now one of my dearest friends here in San Diego. Remember when we tried starting that "Kickstarter Helpers" business together? That was at the very beginning of what has blossomed into a fantastic set of achievements for us both (even though the original idea didn't pan out, ha!). I have loved watching all of the amazing creative projects you've done over the years and seeing just how far you've come. (Which, holy smokes! Is really damn far!!!! You're like...a proper badass!) Girl, I so wish we lived closer together so we could drink tea and walk around the lake and talk about big ideas, big hopes, and big dreams together. I know we'll get to do that again soon. Thank you for the many, many, MANY blessings you've given me in the 17-ish years we've known each other. I'm ALWAYS here for you if you need me, and don't forget it!

Alicia. 40 is the new 30, and 30 was the new 29, and 29 was the new 25. So we're literally anti-aging! I really hope you enjoy this new chapter, it's actually pretty damn rad on the other side, just sayin.
